The Guardian recently published an article that is making a lot of waves stating that Bryce Dallas Howard is not getting enough recognition for her role in Jurassic World:

YES, she was great.

Bryce's character was an aloof airhead; damn Paris Hilton could of done just as good in that role. That's not critiquing Bryce's acting ability, her character was purposely contrived to be that way so the Chris Pratt character could be the alpha macho hero. Heaven forbid a woman ever get to save the day.

Absolutely! I think she is very beautiful in this film. She has beautiful face with great hair style, and nice white skin and nice legs.

Don't try the Tumblr stuff with Jurassic Park; as if there aren't hundreds of A-list films with empowered female leads. Stop reaching.

Hundreds... are you sure about that? Not very many female actresses get leads as the heroine in blockbuster films... I mean Angelina Jolie's "Maleficent" comes to mind, but let's not act like those types of films are a dime a dozen.

Lettuce be honest, for most of the film her character was led by Chris Pratt...he let Bryce's character find her bravery. It was pathetic, tbh.

Since when does 4 = 100's. And 2 of the 4 star La Jolie. Also...last I checked Columbiana and Hanna wasn't blockbuster movies.

My main complaint is that why couldn't a woman have played as the lead character, and raptor seducer...

Women only get supportive roles in blockbuster movies....examples include:
Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in the Avengers movies
Megan Fox/Rose Huntington Whiteley in the Transformers movies
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman v Superman
