There's a 2 hours long video of the demo, but mostly they're just talking and duel in random.

I watched that 20 minute vid and it is AWESOME. But bleh at some tacky choices.

For example?

Choosing to summon Trag for sake of it. Or not equipping the second Horn increase pressure on Mako.

I understand what you mean though. It does look like something that would have appeared on the PS2 honestly. Graphically it's very flat; but it's just another game to pass the time for them I guess. They said it's digital only so...

I love the blue and red Duelist Kingdom-like platform for the Yugioh duels though. I wish they had monster animations on the cards like they did on some old DM games. Using animations for only a few monster attacks was a bit... cheap.

However the second horn wasn't particularly bad choice. If they're destroyed, they go to the top of the deck, so that would be two wasted draws if Mako had use a TT.

Oh also, you can use either the "story" deck or the user deck. You gain cards by beating the people in the story or by buying them. Each duel gives you enough points to get roughly 3 booster packs.

Also there is going to be cross region online play. However forbidden and limited rules only apply to ranked matches and not for the story and play with friends.

It should also be noted that the decks are not exact but are staying as true to the anime as they can, and will include other cards from that particular story arc; i.e. Yugi having SS in his deck while battling Mako. All the duels will be TCG style. So there ain't gonna be any Duelist Kingdom rules which is the one sad thing, but understandable.

Eh, I kinda like the PS2 throwback a BIT but I felt like it was inspired more by the DS variants. And speaking of which, I don't understand that development choice of not animating attacks for majority of them. DS was a hardware issue but a PS4 could surely handle more in the resource department.
