Beyoncé has had on going successful eras 2003-2014. That's already 11 years. If her album in 2016 or whenever is successful that is 13+ years. Therefore she's already outlasted her peers except P!nk if she comes back with another successful era.

& I doubt Ms. Knowles is having a Lotus / Britney Jean / Piece by Piece / AKA sized flop anytime soon. So the question still stands — why did she outlast her peers. Stop the delusion.

It isn't Beyonce's fault others were solo artists while she worked with her friends. It's a part of her life & career & it exists.

Because she's talented and also found ways to stay relevant. I think some of her peers, like Pink, will continue to do well. Others, like Britney, are finished and will never be relevant in pop music again.

1. Phenomenal work ethic.
2. Smart businesswoman.
3. Has good head on her shoulders.
4. Has kept up with the changing times.
5. Is consistently outdoing/improving herself.
6. Incredibly talented.

Last but not least, she is simply the BEST performer/artist to have come out in the past 20 years. Like, that's not even debatable.

Mark my words, she is going to outlast several of the current "major" pop girls.

She is NEVER going to actually "decline", no matter how much she is selling.

Xtina
Nelly Furtado
(all the rnb girls)
Usher (not to a certain extent as you mentioned in the OP...she just outlasted him point blank)
Britney (although Britney lasted long too tbh)
Alicia Keys

What they did after doesn't matter this is about Beyonce's (and Beyonce only) career. You're giving credit to Beyonce for outlasting artist who had to make a name for themselves on their own, while she didn't.

This operates on the assumption that being in a group makes it easier to become more successful or generate interest. It's not.

And are we really going to pretend DC was the type of group that actually relied on all the members'? This was a Diana/Supremes type of set up, not a TLC/Spice Girls where there were more even contributions and popularity among members. It was a running joke about how the members revolved around Bey in the media hence that Wendy interview where Bey had to continuously check her for referring to them as "BEYONCÉ and the girls..."

I can't @ the girls still acting like DC isn't a part of HER career and accomplishments, like stop! Some ppl try way too hard to find a flaw in Beyonce.

That's very irrelevant though. Was Beyonce, as a person, recording or not recording music using her own vocal chords back in the late 90's? Was she or was she not promoting & during performances using her own body parts? Was she or was she not the main vocalist & the leader of Destiny's Child? DC is a part of her career & it counts. It's not up for debate either.
