Im actually proud of Morocco right now! this is a great step forward! I thought there wouldn't be any legal action. international pressure and a wanting to look good in front of the world is certainly doing wonders for morocco's lgbt community and woman's rights too! amazing

Regressive country + homophobia = disaster

the country she lives in is not "****ed up" sir. its more like a lot of ppl who live there are f-ed up. the fact that in america (one of the most progressive countries in the world) we see 10 trans woman slaughtered in less then a year shows us that this lgbt and specifically trans issue is a universal problem. meaning the entire world has yet to progress. (some countries more then others of course).

this thread is about incident in morocco and its politics and laws are completely relevant to discuss

i already pointed out that transgender attacks happen in countries with LGBT rights myself and in the other thread, but NOTHING at this scale and 99% of them are prostitutes who are assaulted or even killed because it's a dangerous job

and the law does have to do with situation because there was a police officer who was just standing while this happened
