I used to get SO confused about this and never knew which one to use and was worried about offending people But basically hispanics speak spanish and latinos are from latin america which is why there's a difference with brazil (Portuguese speaking) and spain (not in latin america) correct

I mean, I'm brazilian and we go with the Latino tag of course, but it always kinda confused me because if I'm being honest, we just use ''brazilian'' and that's about it. idk.

There is. This is a vague oversimplification.
The word Hispanic has two meanings.
1. Pertaining to Ancient Spain. Includes Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America and Spain. Mostly used when talking about history, culture and language.
2. People of countries in Latin America with a Spanish background. Most peoople use Hispanic in this sense, specially in the US.
