I'm taking my driving test in two weeks and I am kinda really nervous! I was wondering what I can expect on the test. Do y'all have any tips? I know it's probably different depending on where you live but.. yeah.

It was surprisingly easy. Just remember to do everything how you have been taught.

I got lucky. I probably should've been failed because I tapped the curb ever so slightly on my parking. I don't even think the instructor noticed.

Try to relax once the test starts and just focus on driving. Pretend someone close to you is in the passenger seat. If the instructor doesn't put his/her seat belt immediately, politely ask them to do so. Do what your instructor asks you to. Don't forget your turn signals when necessary (including parallel parking and K-turns). For the K-turn you're supposed to use your blinker three times (kinda stupid, but whatever). When reversing straight back, look backward, keep one hand on the wheel, and put the other hand on the back of the passenger seat. When you arrive at a stop sign, come to a full stop for three seconds and look both ways at least a couple of times. Practice turning and try to master an efficient technique for making turns (either hand-over-hand or push-pull method). It might not be necessary to use "proper" turning techniques, but it's helpful to know. And for goodness' sake, don't hit a cone! (Or a person's car, if you're doing it on actual roadways.)

Don't talk to the tester unless he/she talks to you.

I recommend going for a lesson with your driving instructor before the test just to warm you up. I drove for about 2 hours before going for the test and it helped a lot.

Try and relax. You can take always a test again but you'll perform much better when you're not stressed imo.

Omg, do everything perfectly. Stop right before the stop sign and do not budge until they see that you've looked both sides. Make sure the instructor sees you look over before switching lanes. Do NOT even go a little over the speed limit

I failed mine the first time and the devastation was real

I just failed for my second time
First time I almost hit a car pulling out of the parking lot. Second time which was like last week, I was switching lanes and she thought I wasn't looking.. I already know how to drive so I forget you need to be really over the top with these instructors. She failed me with such swiftness, you need less than 30 points to pass and 25 points was for that one mistake! Ughh just give me my license

Well, at least you live in the US, where the driving test doesn't cost over $1,000

It's so easy that it's scary literally anyone can get it cause their so soft. Just make sure you know what the disqualifications and that's it. There's nothing out of the ordinary it's like just driving straight and making turns. Some of them you have to parallel park or pull up to a curb. Also don't get nervous it's like driving a family member around.

If I passed the test everyone can

It's weird. I've heard that it's either super easy or really hard based on the instructor. DMV is the pits. The local facility is crowded, noisy, and rude.

You're allowed to hit a curb, you only fail if you go past the curb and onto a footpath.

I passed my test back in October and it was the most stressful day, I was literally soaked with sweat.

This sounds stupid, but make sure your door is closed properly, I drove for half my test with my warning light going off and didn't notice.

Be dramatic when checking your mirrors, if you just shift your eyes the instructor will assume you didn't look.

I also conked out just before I finished.

I got to take mine at school.

I honestly don't see how anyone could fail.

I actually wasn't worried for mine at all. Don't go over the speed limit at all. Be very cautious and on edge and you'll be fine. I didn't even have to parallel park or anything. We just drove around for 5 minutes. I went super early in the morning and I thought my instructor was falling asleep

Make sure you're looking at the mirrors and watch your hand placement on the steering wheel (10 and 2, one hand over the other when steering, etc) because they'll be checking for that!

Always check how fast you're going. I failed my driving test because I was going slightly too fast in a school zone, like the limit was 15 m/ph and I went 20 and they were like oop bitch ya failed Also stay inside the lines, I got in trouble because when I stopped at a red light I had inched up a little too much and was too close to the light

Yes, at exactly what somebody else said! Make sure you half-exaggerate your gestures when you look both sides/at the other lane. Also, don't go over the speed limit. Other than that, I think you'll be fine.
