He was just an additional producer - it was produced by Shakira, Calle 13 & John Hill - Diplo only had an "additional production" credit on Gordita (I think Shakira, Rene Calle 13 & John Hill did most of the work together in the studio - since Shakira & Rene wrote both the lyrics & music by themselves - and Diplo just did some post-production) I remember he said in an interview a long time ago that he just worked on the trombone post-production...
Edit: Here is the interview...

Right now it's the Kaossilator. I can take it on tour and make cool LFO and people think I'm, like, Justice up there. It's even got funky slap bass...not a key, just a touch screen. That and a trombone. I just did some work on a Shakira record and used a trombone in the hook, like, sad mariachi style. God, give me one new thing to use and it's my favorite for like 15 minutes. We're doing this track with M.I.A. and Busy Signal for Major Lazer, so she was over and just singing nonsense into the mic. She was lying down, we put the mic on her face, and five minutes and an Auto-Tune later, we got this M.I.A. pennywhistle thing that has a full range.

Anyway...I don't think he's shading her...like someone said, he's always retweeting nonsense. Add to the fact that he himself has said that he's never met her/worked with her in person & it doesn't make much sense lol.
