Streaming Songs
7 31 22 12 Lean On, Major Lazer & DJ Snake Featuring M0 7
This is what Ger was talking about with Lean On. A few weeks ago its streaming was reported as having a sharp decline, and that appears to have corrected itself.
I'm gonna need an official explanation from Nielsen.

I still feel that "Worth It" can grab a week in at #10 or something, they have the airplay and sales. Hopefully they can!

But its slowing down on Airplay :/

this. I never know which girl group they are and I always get them confused with that one who sung Wings and then isn't there another as well?
The song sucks, too.

"Somebody" went Top 10 with a lower Digital Songs peak than Worth It, an equal Streaming Songs peak and a slightly higher Radio Songs peak, but okay, keep staying pressed by claiming Worth It never had the potential to go Top 10

(32) She's Kinda Hot || iTunes: #8 || Radio: #101 || Spotify: #28 NEW
Observations/Predictions.
+The Weeknd may snatch the #1, but OMI is still ahead on iTunes & streaming. I say this is OMI's last week at #1.
+"Watch Me" has peaked at #3, however, it'll probably float around the top 10 for a while. I forsee 10-13 weeks in the top 10, I really hate this song so I hope it leaves sooner lol.
+"Bad Blood" is unfortunately losing steam. I say it gets 13-15 weeks in the top 10 at most.
+I still see "Fight Song" peaking at #3. Wiz/Charlie will be falling soon so is Taylor, so that gives her #4 at the very least.
+"The Hills" will probably float around the lower portion of the top 10 until it really starts to blow up on radio.
+"Worth It" will probably stay at the dreaded #14, but if it gets a chance to re-peak this week (without going top 10) it better be at #12 or #13....not here for a #11 peak.
+"Good For You" will eventually go top 10 again once it starts getting a bit more radio play.
+"My Way" will probably overshadow "679" chances of going top 10, it seems to be huge. Its #1 on iTunes and already top 50 on radio and Spotify. Its bound to be a hit at some point in the next few weeks.

I know, right? As soon as an artist fails to go top 10 on the Hot 100, the people on this site are so quick to call them a "flop" or to say that "nobody knows them". It's like they let the charts decide their opinions on everything

When Somebody went top 10, it wasn't really a competitive area around 10-15. Most of the songs were falling out of that area so it made room for new songs. Somebody hit the top 10 at the right time.
Seeing how Worth It's airplay will likely peak by next week, I don't really see it passing many of the falling songs.

So happy for Carly
20 weeks for a song that never got radio support and peaked at #39 is incredible.

I agree it likely won't go Top 10 now, but I think it theoretically could have gone Top 10 had it been a less competitive time, as you said. Other people in this thread are saying it never had the potential to go Top 10 because the song was never big enough.

Oh, yeah, it certainly had potential to go top 10. If it had peaked a month or two ago it probably would have peaked at #8 or #9.

Their label could have discounted it last Friday for a possible chance at a top ten next week
But the song's a legit hit. I don't understand why some are trying to downplay its success.

There are so many songs (every year) the past few years that were HUGE but got stuck with a top 20 peak (not bad, but frustrating tbh).
To name a few:
Tove Lo - "Talking Body" (#12)
Ellie Goulding - "Burn" (#13)
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - "Same Love" (#11)
Alicia Keys - "Girl On Fire" (#11)
Nick Jonas - "Chains" (#13)
Demi Lovato - "Give Your Heart A Break" (#16)
Ed Sheeran - "Sing" (#13)
American Authors - "Best Day of My Life" (#11)
Ariana Grande - "One Last Time" (#13)
DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - "You Know You Like It" (#13)
Omarion ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko - "Post To Be" (#13)
Mr. Probz - "Waves" (#14)
Enrique Iglesias ft. Sean Paul - "Bailando" (#12)
Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding - "I Need Your Love" (#16)
Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo - "Let's Go" (#17)
Calvin Harris ft. John Newman - "Blame" (#19)
Calvin Harris - "Feel So Close" (#12)
Zedd ft. Hayley Williams - "Stay The Night" (#18)
The Neighbourhood - "Sweater Weather" (#14)
Jason Derulo - "Trumpets" (#14)
Like its almost absurd how many huge songs didn't make the top 10. Typically because there were "bigger" songs that just wouldn't leave the top 10 at the time....or due to unnecessary streaming monsters.

The bolded ones are the only songs that sold more than 2M copies. There are even a few songs on the list that didn't hit 1M, so I wouldn't call any of these songs "huge".
