I don't know what the Republicans would do if suddenly 50% of the black population voted for them, they would probably **** themselves first and then try to figure out a way to keep them.
They would be foolish not to on the other hand the Democrats need to do nothing for the blacks and they get their vote.

I don't think there can ever be a 3rd party. What will happen is that person is going to by nature align right or left and whatever way they lean they will siphon off votes from that party handing the other party victory. It's just not how our system is set up. Look at Sanders he is an Independent but votes with the Democrats because he has to choose a side.
