I know what you're talking about, but it has nothing to do with the post I was responding to. The uneducated person I quoted above claimed that ISIS' purpose is to get to the US, but they can't so they settled for causing destruction in Iraq and Syria.

That doesn't make any sense as ISIS is killing their locals and attacking their governments to "cleanse" their areas and push their agenda. ISIS has nothing to do with the US in terms their aim and their destructive activities. If we're talking about their origins and their initial funding, that's another story!
