You clearly don't understand what I've wrote. So many people draw their strength from God, its not selfish its part of prayer most of the time, and obviously you've not been in a situation where you've felt like you have no one to turn to in life, its those times that feeling as though there is someone else there even if their presence isn't physical that helps, and if you have then I'm glad you had that support system, but not everyone does.

Seriously, would you like it if I said "I find the amount of people who believe in God to be saddening"? Everyone has their own beliefs. Be respectful please.

What's saddening is you reaching to find negativity in my post. What I meant by it was that in times of hardship when you people feel like they don't have somewhere to turn, I find it sad that some people wouldn't have that extra support, it doesn't even have to be religion but just belief that someone is watching over you can be a huge comfort, the same with not believing in an afterlife, it may be realistic for some but its also a rather depressing thought to feel this is all we have. My point was not that I feel sad they don't have religion but more so that where some peoples faith helps them through the darkest times, they may not have that to get them through.
