Britney’s Greatest Hits

GimmeBritney.com can exclusively reveal that Britney is planning to release her second Greatest Hits album this year.

The album will feature tracks from Blackout and Circus, plus another 6 new tracks which Britney is said to be in the process of recording. We already know that she’s currently in the studio with Max Martin – the guy behind Baby One More Time and If U Seek Amy.

Our sources tell us that the album is due for release in September to coincide with the 2nd North American leg of her current Circus tour.

2 new tracks to sarve as singles and than release Get Naked !

I only like this GH idea cuz' we can get singles from Blackout era that we wanted but couldn't have.

But other than that a re-release for Circus would be much better, or even a new album !

I really doubt this is true, Britney only released "Blackout" and "Circus" next to her "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative" so it's probably fake.

A fusion of Blackout + Circus is a better idea. GH is a no no!.
I think "Circus" will be re-released.

I actually think the Blackout/Circus mix would work, but it certainly wouldn't be labelled as a GH. :-/

I bet you didn't see that one coming, lol! 6 new tracks for Britney is always a great thing, but.. I am not too sure about the Greatest Hits thing. 6 new tracks.. I am going to buy it what so ever.

I doubt it's true. We're looking at a re-release period. Releasing a 2nd Greatest Hits album like almost 5 years after the first one with only 2 albums released inbetween them seems unlikely. I give it 2 more album releases till the next Greatest Hits album (maybe the 20th year celebration in 2019)...

Anyway, You know what? I thought a bit about it, and I actually like the idea.
Someone in Jive really doesn't want to let Blackout go, and for a good reason! Blackout is a great album who deserves wider recognition. If the GH will be released, I assume one of the unreleased Blackout songs will function as a single, at one point or another.
In addition, it's too soon to release a new album, and we fans still want to listen to some new great music from Britney – so that could be a great solution. Also, if the album really is going to be released in September, the likability of a Britney performance at the VMA's is much bigger!
