Banning them won't stop them being manufactured.

If some magical force could make all guns vanish and prevent any new guns from being made, that would be nice.

But people who want to do harm will do harm. They'll just use a different means.

Many countries already have proper systems set. Ones like the US, can't flip a switch and get rid of guns. There's too many out there. The best goal would be effective regulation.
