Demi-Selena-Taylor have known eachother for like 8 years.
Something really gross happened between Selena and Demi and since Taylor was best friends with Selena I'm sure she kind of broke up with Demi too.
Lorde is not Taylor's best friend, Demi was Selena's best friend.

The only reason I could see that happening is if Demi did something so horrible that Taylor just came to the conclusion that Demi was a bad person and not someone to be around.
Because before that I remember Taylor hanging with Demi when Demi and Selena weren't talking. In addition to that, when you're friends with two people and they fight you don't just drop one. (Unless again, that person is just a horrible human being.)

Demi and Selena have been on and off since forever. Last time they hanged together was I think March 2014. They always complemented eachother's music releases and spoke friendly.
This time something really big happened (maybe Selena going to rehab or the Jelena thing) and of course since Taylor is Selena's best friend she stood by Selena.
