Eh, only 4 other non-legendary/mega pokemon have a higher attack stat the Archeops (And one of them has its own handicap in Truant), AND Archeops has better speed and special attack than those 4 excluding Aegislash. If Defeatist halved his Speed, I'd agree it would be ruining, but luckily it doesn't, giving him a chance to switch out and maybe get a Wish-pass in before he gets KO'd. I think his ability is OK for what he is, you just need to find a way around it to make him effective. But removing Defeatist entirely would make him the fastest and most powerful regular Pokemon, which would be completely broken.
