I love music, but I've never had music connect to me on a personal enough level to make me feel any significant emotion...except once
I dare you to read the lyrics while you listen and not tear up a tiny bit. Literally none of these pop girls could ever come close lyrically. So subtle and honest and beautiful and sad simultaneously.
Amy sang with such real emotion, a lot of her songs really hit close to home.
RIP Queen Amy
She really did, and it's why I loved her, but music just doesn't normally hit me that hard. Something about Wake Up Alone which combined with personal, family stuff going on simultaneously with Amy's own death, just hit me so hard.
Only time a song's had such a profound effect on me. I miss her all the time.
