The owner of Wolfee Donuts – where Ariana Grande was filmed licking and spitting on pastries – is refuting claims that he has declined to press charges against the Break Free singer.
Joe Marin, owner of the shop, called in to KiSS 92.5 to tell The Roz & Mocha Show he wants the singer charged.
“I’ve been hearing that I decided not to press charges,” he said. “I don’t know where that came from... I did press charges. When I was reading the newspapers they said I decided not to, and I don’t know where that came from.”
Last week, footage emerged of Grande in the California shop licking doughnuts and saying: "I hate America."
She later apologized saying: "Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no idea was taken is such a rude awakening. It's like you don't know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself, I wanted to shove my face in a pillow and just disappear.”
Quote:
Marin told The Roz & Mocha Show he was out four doughnuts – two that she licked and two that she spit on.
“But that’s not the point,” he said, adding the shop was then downgraded by a health inspector.
Marin was chastised for not keeping his doughnuts away from the public, but he says there’s no difference between how he serves doughnuts and a buffet.
“When you go to the buffets, the buffets are open. You could spit on it if you wanted,” he said.
Marin said that even if Grande apologizes to him directly, he will still charge the pop star.
“I think she should (face) charges. The thing is ... if it was one of us, they’d do something about it.” Marin said Grande is banned for life from Wolfee Donuts.
Chances are, the Queen of Pop isn't the first one to touch your damn donuts while they were sitting out. She just helped expose their unsanitary environment
ya I'm a Ari fan but she deserves legal action. its the only way she will truly learn her lesson. if this goes by un punished she will think life is easy. she needs a bit of trouble with the authorities. I mean almost everyone in life had to deal with some legal issues to learn a big lesson so its not so bad. hopefully this opens up her eyes BIG TIME.
however as a big fan of her music I'm worried that this issue will actually continue to drag on. meaning donut gate wont stop having headlines seeing as there will be multiple updates on the court hearings and what not. this is going to haunt her for the rest of the year :/
The most I would do is probably make her buy the donuts she licked/spat on/whatever
thats too easy sis. she needs to be fined or has to do like 40 hours of community service and officially apologies to the shop. the problem isnt that she spat on the donuts...its the fact that she will or would of probably done stuff like this again had she not been caught and punished. this backlash and run in with the law will help her soooo much in the long haul that in fact she'll probably think it was a blessing in disguise 10 years from now. she will become smarter in general.
The most I would do is probably make her pay for the donuts she licked/spat on/whatever
Not you saying it's an overreaction when she put GP life at risk. If i bought donut that day and found out about this i'd sue tf outta ha. Who wants to eat food being spit on by Ariana?...that's just nasty.
