Jesse Eisenberg compared his experience of facing screaming fans at Comic-Con to genocide, saying the raucous crowd was "terrifying."
"It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can't think of anything that's equivalent."
On Tuesday, in an interview alongside Jason Segel promoting their film "The End of the Tour," Eisenberg explained his response.
"Maybe on some cellular memory level, that's the only thing that seems like an equivalent social experience," he said. "Even if they're saying nice things, just being shouted at by thousands of people, it's horrifying."
Segel, who has attended Comic-Con in the past, chimed in: "Whether it's positive or negative, it's still a mob."
People need to calm down. He used the word generically (ya'll know that word, right?) and didn't mention a specific incident of genocide. There's nothing to be upset over.

But by definition ''Genocide'' refers to the act of killing a large group of people
How the **** does that make his comment any less idiotic?
In his defense he has spoken about how bad his OCD is and this was his first comic con experience so take his OCD and put him in an area with thousands of screaming fans that never lets up. i understand just poor words

For the most part, I haven't seen any outrage. Just a lot of people saying "poor choice or words," I thought it was interesting how much this situation mirrors Charlize Theron comparing the press to rape, even the threads look the same. As long as you aren't a pop star or Gwyneth Paltrow it seems most people are understanding.

The overreaction
I don't see the big deal people say stuff like this irl all the time

There's no such thing as an "overreaction" to someone having the audacity to compare a convention to a genocide. That's the only overreaction going on in this whole equation. Anyone who thinks differently has issues.
How in the hell is it even remotely similar to genocide? Genocide is a systematic wiping out of a race/group of people by murder, I really don't see how comic-con is like that at all

Watch out. You might get a warning for "Trolling". How having this opinion is trolling, I have no idea. Anyone with a brain would understand that this comparison ISN'T ok.
