No they weren't
S4 they were introduced but were on the recurring cast list even though they were in every episode, but they never had more screen time than the originals like Rachel, Kurt, Santana, Finn, etc.
then S5 they were upgraded to the main cast, but were ignored and were only in it for like half the season.
then S6 melissa wasn't in one episode (she was actually the only character who is still alive that has been part of the new directions who wasn't in the last episode, due to supergirl filming commitments) and Blake was only in the last ep for literally 1 second of screen time without any lines.
