So, it's not a stretch for critics in the fandom to have scrutinized the body type of the actress playing Katniss. If Benjamin Cumberbatch had been cast as Tyrion Lanister in Game of Thrones, there would have been an uproar in the GOT fandom as well. There's a reason why Anne Hathaway lost a bunch of weight to play Fantine in Les Mis' and why Renee Zellwger gained a bunch of weight to play Bridget Jones. No one was saying that Jennifer Lawrence was "too fat" in real life. They were saying that she wasn't thin enough to play someone dying of malnutrition.
