I wrote like a 1500 character review and then I deleted it by mistake.
To attend the 1989 Tour is to witness the apotheosis of one of pop music's biggest, best, and brightest pop phenomenons. She's truly in a league of Her own. The energy of the audience is unlike anything I've ever experienced (but then, She's the only person I've ever seen in concert). It was so loud and intense during "Bad Blood." The crowd responded to "Love Story" like She'd never performed it before. And "Trouble" was a show highlight once again. So many of the performances were really excellent.
The videos of Her friends and those longwinded speeches need to hit the cutting block though. I can't understand how She doesn't have video interludes featuring other catalog songs... Her songs are all known well enough to use them that way. But anyways.
Like everyone in my section sat down the first time She picked up a guitar. It was such a kiii.
There was an old gray haired man sitting near me. He was there alone and he was using binocculars. That's what I'm going to look like at the 2060 Farewell Tour.
The girl in front of me was crazy white girl dancing, so I wasn't embarrassed about my own dancing and I spent the entire show singing and dancing and screaming and fist pumping.
HAIM were incredible, but I don't think most of the people around me were fans.
And my boyfriend Nick was there, which was really exciting even though he's not the hottest Jonas Brother and "Jealous" is kinda a tad bit sexist. I went the **** off anyways.
And ****ING KARLIE KLOSS CAME OUT WITH ****ING UZO ADUBA AND I DIED. RIGHT THERE. DEAD.
AND I MET VESPERTINE, HAUNTED, AND FINNY.
I ended up on the first train to the stadium, so the place was pretty empty when I got to my seat and Finny and Haunted were already in the pit so we waved at each other across the stadium. We met up afterwards and spent like twenty minutes hanging.
We're fans of kevin, GU, and Icannot.
Their impact.
