How many times do we need to have this redundant discussion? There certainly are gays that aren't very supportive of their own community and that comes from a place of either jealousy, self-contempt, or some sort of superiority complex. But people like that exist in any community. And it's not that people were coming for EJ because he's gay and flamboyant. It's just that his outfit was ugly and tasteless.
1. past experiences dealing with horrible people who happened to be gay, but instead of hating that one person, people tend to hate the demographic the person fits in

I personally don't want to be associated with overly feminine and obnoxious gays. Not because of "self-hatred" but because I can't relate to them. It's just not me. I'm just a guy that happens to like guys.
