I want to see this, but it seems so saaad :/

I saw it yesterday. As a big fan of her it was nice to see some backstory but I kinda felt the movie was sloppy but I guess they could only use the footage they had. It definitely paints her father and the boyfriend BtB was about in a really negative light.

Going to see this tonight. The really positive reviews make me excited and give me some faith that Amy was finally done right on the big screen.

I really need to see this.

It was very good and detailed. Frankly, there were a few scenes of recorded footage that really verified my thoughts on Mr. Winehouse. The ending was just so incredibly sad. It makes us question the importance of celebrity and how it really is not for everyone. I liked how it touched on the many illnesses, physical (bulimia and addictions) and mental (her need for control and the way she used people for her own gain, her constant need for attention from men thanks to an absent father throughout her childhood). They showed us the good and bad.

The new songs were great. Her voice really shined. Hearing from Juliette and Lauren was the best part about all of this because of how quiet they've been about the whole thing. You can still hear the pain in their voices.
