Jennette McCurdy gets record deal with Capitol

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 – Jennette McCurdy, 17, an actress on the Nickelodeon show "iCarly," said on her blog that she signed a record deal with Capitol Nashville.

Since 2007, McCurdy has had a starring role in the Nickelodeon TV series iCarly, as Carly's best friend Sam Puckett. She has been working on an album and released two singles, So Close and Homeless Heart.
No information was available on when a CD would be out.
