I would say coincidence if the BEP track only shared those same three notes with the first track, but was otherwise made to sound different. However, the BEP song features, what sounds like, a direct sample of the Freeland track/or a synthesizer manipulated in an almost identical fashion to directly emulate the sound from the Freeland song. I think this indicates a little bit more than just coincidence.
Of course Perez is going to be all over this with his recent beef with BEP, but in this case I actually think there's something of merit in what Perez is reporting and it's not entirely intended to be petty revenge.
