Charli XCX talks about new album: "most pop thing I've done"
This new project will not be released until the end of 2015. Meanwhile we continue with the account back to enjoy the impending “SUCKER“.
During a recent interview with i-D, Charli has confirmed that the new album will be out next year and it’s “the most pop and electronic thing“, she said:
"It’s going to be so different from the last album. It’s going to be the most pop thing, and the most electronic thing I’ve done. I started working in that way quite naturally, it just happened. This always happens, the second I put out the previous record.
Since it's Most Pop but also Most Electronic it might be something like a mixture of the True Romance sound and the SuperLove sound
Sucker was good but I hope she's done with anything that resembles it. I need a True Romance 2.0 and if she wants to do pop, she needs to go the SuperLove route, not Break The Rules/Boom Clap
I LOVED Sucker tbh. But I am more than glad to see she's going back to the True Romance and SuperLove sound. SuperLove is my favorite song of Charli.
I just hope we get an image overhaul for the next era as well because that's what is obstructing her success tbh. Sucker had few tracks that had potential but they just flopped because Charli wasn't appealing at all.
