Leona Lewis has found it liberating to chop her long locks off into a shorter style.
The X Factor winner has always had a head full of curls which she would often wear tumbling round her shoulders. But the 30-year-old recently had her locks chopped off into a shorter style, and she’s loving the transformation.
“Mainly I would wear my hair long so much, and I think it is because it was bit of a curtain. You can hide behind your hair,” she told Yahoo Beauty. “I actually chopped it all off a couple days ago to even shorter. For me, it’s very liberating to be able to do that as a woman so I can’t hide behind that anymore. And actually, I don’t feel the need to anymore.”
Leona will be gearing up to perform the album’s first single, Fire Under My Feet and during her chat with the website. Leona certainly went all out with the glitter when she attended London’s Wireless Festival last weekend. The singer posted a photograph on Instagram of her shorter hair and gold sparkly detail around her right eye.
“I'll be eating glitter all week #wireless festival (sic)” she wrote.
