I know people who come out as bisexual are often not gay or using it as a stepping stone, but I wish there could be more public figures who will openly say they're gay. How many famous people come out as bisexual compared to how many regular people are bisexual is disproportionate, and the fact every single queer person has to come out as bisexual (or "I don't define myself") to soften the blow is disheartening.

Obviously some of these people really are bisexual so I'm not going to speak towards any specific celebrities, but I can't be the only person who notices this.

Everybody ELSE views him dressing up and being feminine as characteristics of being gay, so if he were to just tell people he was gay, it would make sense to other people. And honestly, based on 90% of the replies in this thread, it makes perfect sense why he was afraid people wouldn't understand his bisexuality

That's exactly my point though, they aren't "characteristics" of being gay, they're stereotypes which close minded people use to generalize gay people. It was wrong of him to try and suggest it would be easier for him to pander to a stereotype than come out as bisexual IMO.

Sis it's not that serious. He can't help that he's a white guy with blue eyes. He wasn't asking for anything, all he did was come out as bisexual. I don't understand how this is pandering. I don't know if he would do this for views
