They wanna keep it outdoors as much as possible, I get their thinking tbh. Like that final Andy was winning against Fed until they closed the roof...
They're looking to avoid mess like that, such as giving a good indoor player an advantage and vice versa.
Once they close the roof it's unlikely (possible that they can't? I'm not 100%) they will re-open it, so they only close it if the forecast is rain all day.
