Taylor in North America has been a force to reckon with so if we go by history, probably she will outlast Katy. However, seeing how Katy outlasted some of her biggest competition, I would not be surprised if something happens.

Unless Taylor suddenly retires from music and becomes a recluse or something, I believe Taylor will outlast Katy.

I feel like Katy Perry is set in her ways, more level-minded, more centered, which in turn, makes her less likely to downward spiral and that's her strength over Taylor Swift who is still "finding herself" with douchebag guys and hasn't been told "no" by anyone in her life yet (even a major corporation like Apple didn't tell Swift "no"). But then on the other hand, Taylor Swift is a machine. Terminator Swift. Whatever she wants, she is going to get, one way or another. If she has her sight set on destroying your life, she's going to make it happen. This is such a tough call. I don't know who will outlast who.

I predict Taylor Swift will outlast Katy Perry.

Anyways i think they'll both cool down within a year of each other but considering taylor debuted first she'll probably have the longer career.

Taylor is almost guaranteed to last longer. Katy is at a stage where she needs successful singles to promote her album, and that's not always gonna fly. Taylor, could probably go several eras without hit songs and still be super successful, kinda like Beyonce.

Taylor is younger and both have done nothing but grow their entire careers. If anything I feel like they'll last the same amount of time and start fading at the same time when we FINALLY get some prominent new pop stars

We are realistic. The music industry is ageist and the GP rarely is interested in popstars for more than three or four eras. I still voted for Katy just because though.

I feel like both will have their songwriting in the end and it's gonna be what helps both achieve decent longevity after their pop start careers are over.

The sad thing is that Gaga sold more albums from November 2013 till now, than Kesha did with her peak album
