Don't have one

It's much more like he's an acquaintance or an uncle than my father tbh. I would never go to him with any pressing issues. But that's mostly because I only see him a few times a year since my parents are divorced and he's in the military. He's not a bad father by any means, I just haven't been around him even 5% as much as my mom.

Edit: I hate my step-dad with a fiery passion though. He's such a stupid racist and homophobic ****.

I love him a lot but I feel he doesnt understand me, there are a lot of unresolved issues between us. Its mostly because of the generational gap I think, he was raised in a completely different time in a completely different country with different culture/customs so we dont see eye to eye with a lot of things. I try my best to have a cordial relationship with him though

Also I found my dad is actually very funny and really love his child but he can't translate it to real action which is very lovable

I have a more consistent relationship with my father than with my mother actually because my mom and I are so much alike that we constantly butt heads and get into month long arguments where we don't speak

and my dad is essentially the middleman, like I could never tarnish the relationship with my father because he is literally who I speak when when I need my 'family'

he does what a father should do: supports me in every sense of the word.. financially, he's always there to listen, he wants me to do what I want in life and be happy.... he's an amazing person and I don't know what I'm gonna do when I have to live life without him
