There's a ton of research that suggests that people in polygamous relationships are more likely to be abused, neglected and/or suffer psychological problems than people in monogamous relationships. So for that reason, it should not be legal.

I actually wouldn't have a problem as long as there is consent.

I've always thought people were more accepting of poligamy than homosexuality. Especially when it feeds into the patriarchal dynamic that subjugates women and marriage for same-sex couples conflicts with that dynamic. It's only been until recently that it's become a slippery slope argument that people are demonizing it.

I do agree that it could lead to abusive and conflictive relationships and legal turmoil.

Polygamy is allowed in major religions so comparing it to marrying animals is vile and insensitive.

It should be, but only if people in those relationship all know about one another... I know a guy who has two girlfriends and those girls are in a relationship together as well, why shouldn't they be able to marry each other?
