The Bridge is the debut album from Canadian R&B/soul singer Melanie Fiona.
The album will be released under the SRC/Universal Motown label.
The album is a mixture of soul, R&B, neo soul, reggae and hip hop music influenced by pop music. On the album, she worked with Steve Rifkind, Future Cut, Vada Nobles, J. Phoenix, Affiliate,
Peter Wade, Salaam Remi and Supa Dups.

The album was released this week in Italy. Will due on August on US.

"Monday Morning" is my fave by far... I want to dance, to sing, to jump to get crazy with this song lol
"Bang Bang" is WOW...
"Ay Yo" is so classy, great vocals, great instrumental!
"Johnny" and Please don't Go are so cute!
"Sad Songs" is a little reggae and made me sad. So cute and melancolic.
"Walk On By" is GREAT!
"It Kills Me" and "Priceless" are powerful ballads!

I agree with EVERYTHING! The album was released here last Tuesday and I bought it before it leaked and without hearing any song other than Give It To Me Right. The first time I've done that in years and I don't buy stuff unless I think it's great. I was so impressed by this. I don't care what anyone says. Melanie Fiona MATTERS. All the people who choose to not at least give her a listen...poor them.

I'm not really good at comparing artists, but I'd say if you like Jazmine Sullivan, Alicia Keys, Duffy or Amy Winehouse, at least give this a try. She's like old-school, but current R&B, soul, jazz, reggae...

I don't usually support Canadian artists because the majority of them are pure garbage! Melanie is amazing though and her album is probably the best I've heard this year. Actually no, it IS the best album I've heard this year. For the record, I do enjoy many artists who can actually sing, they just aren't talked about here.

Her debut single is one of the songs I less liked on the album.

I'm so addicted to "Walk On By" and "Johnny", but "Monday Morning" is EPIC and definetly my fave!

IMO she's better than Estelle and Jazmine Sullivan, both singers that I loved last year.
