I actually like this top ten a lot. 
Misty is pretty forgettable in the games though. Drayden should have replaced her.
I love Jasmine for her compassion toward Ampharos one of the best gen 2 pokemon. She caused me and my Meganium so many issues back then too.  Morty was also one of my biggest challenges in Crystal because I only trained my starter.

The Gym Leader of Humilau City and a fisherman on the side, Marlon doesn't really care or notice Team Plasma and would rather swim around all day. A really insignificant and phoned in leader if we're being honest, it just takes you out of the whole experience to go from Team Plasma attacking a city to being forced to battle a really uninteresting leader who adds nothing to the story. He cute though and he has a nice gym so we'll give him some props.
HausofNiko says "Bob marly look alike slay me!". ...Am not seeing it. Staryu needs "some mouth to mouth resuscitation" and jpow dubs him "daddy". Classless. Hugamari is more focused on other things, living for his "pretty" gym. |

Erika is the Gym Leader of Celadon City and also a florist. She turned her gym into a greenhouse and it is strictly women only, although she does have an elderly fan who perches outside (iconic). Erika is a little conceited, only wishing to train beautiful pokémon ( eh?), and tends to doze off very easily. She's also a shady ass queen, eavesdropping on her conversation with Jasmine in HGSS is a kii-worthy moment that develops both characters without forced blocks of text (take notes Gen 5). Erika was never really a challenge but is still a beloved leader and one of the better Gen 1 reps.
PhreshDiamond asks "who?", he can't even remember the one generation he liked... must be the old age, and Hugamari brands her "generic". I respectfully disagree. keshaspearsxo calls her a "dumb ****. letting her gym catch fire. worthless", that was ****ing Team Rocket. HausofNiko calls her the "grass chanteuse", and Staryu brands her the "Martha Stewart of gym leaders", so she's almost finished her Kanto Correctional Facility for Women time? Eeveelution calls her the "queen of shade" for the way she drags Clair and clocks Jasmine in HGSS, #greatesthits |
The only gen 1 leader worthy of top 10 and y'all punch her out here.
