Why is Friends still the most iconic show of our generation?
Quote:
During a break from Oscars week mania in L.A., I took the Warner Bros. VIP studio tour, where I learned from my guide Noah that the Friends cast is still rolling in MAJOR dough more than a decade after the show ended.
How major?
Well, through the magic of syndication revenue, Friends pulls in a whopping $1 billion each year for Warner Bros. Here’s the kicker though: That translates into about a $20 million annual paycheck each for Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, who each make 2% of that syndication income.
No other show even comes close to pulling in syndication revenues like Friends. Why do you think 10 years after it ended Friends and Jennifer is still punching every other show in the world?
I see Frends stuff literally EVERYDAY on FaceBook, Twitter - quotes, pics, NEWS which is weird. And the actors are still relevant cause of the fan base. And there's no better show since then.
So yes - ICONIC.
The love for Jennifer Aniston also is literally endless!
Friends was garbage, literally so ****ing corny. I don't get the praise but then again I'm not white.
Sienfield >>>
Seinfeld was and is insufferable.
Friends >
Corny as **** but at this point, it's more for the nostalgic factor for us millennials cuz we still rule the world.
Because it's flawless and doesn't get old. I've seen pretty much every episode 4+ times and I kinda want to start over again, because I know what good time I would have.
