I know people have already said it, but yeah, you can be conservative and support gay rights.
Political tags nowadays aren't as concrete as they used to be, as people tend to have both liberal and conservative views depending on what the issue in front of them is.
Tbh in short I think America really suffers from having only a two-party system of governance. If you adopted something different, I think this would be more apparent.
