Do you not see how financing videos can be a risk when there is NO GUARENTEE it'll help the songs chart success or that the said artist will make money back off that investment ? If that was the case MOST artists on labels would finance their own ****. You sound foolish.
S&M's video was flagged on YT for explicit content. It was relegated to Nightime AirPlay in the United Kingdom which is Rihanna's biggest market. The song is cute but the negative attention for the video could've hurt the success of the song.
Releasing Collabo's doesn't mean you will be as successful with your OWN MATERIAL(See Christina Aguilera, who I like).
Christina, Ke$ha and Shakira aren't very successful right now on their own they have to do Collabo's because they're fighting to regain fame they once enjoyed. Different artists.
Why did you bother quoting me ?

Why, you gotta be the most stupid ATRL member I've ever seen, you can't get the point, you just cant.
This is not about how things ended up being for Gaga or for Beyoncé, this is about Rihanna NOT BEING THE ONLY ONE TO PAY FOR VIDEOS, it's something a lot of stars have made, it doesn't makes Rihanna any risky, can you please get it?
It's not about collabs being successfull or not, is about how these other girls (and many more) take long breaks between album, the fact that Rihanna took a break for the first time in her life doesn't make her risky.
