Do you actually think that to pay for a video is a risk? Girl, Gaga payed the high-budget video for G.U.Y. and I believe Beyoncé also payed for the videos of her last album? (not sure about that).
S&M being a risk? is her most generic and radio friendly song ever, that Sexy B**tch rip off only says nanananananasnanaan come on come on naanananananana like it nananana.
And not her break (in which she released singles as featured artist) being another risk, then Christina, Shakira and Ke$ha must be the riskiest artists ever.
The navy is so funny, I love you guys.

Gaga paid for G.U.Y and look how it performed on the charts. Beyoncé financed her album and look how it did ?
Do you not see how financing videos can be a risk when there is NO GUARENTEE it'll help the songs chart success or that the said artist will make money back off that investment ? If that was the case MOST artists on labels would finance their own ****. You sound foolish.
S&M's video was flagged on YT for explicit content. It was relegated to Nightime AirPlay in the United Kingdom which is Rihanna's biggest market. The song is cute but the negative attention for the video could've hurt the success of the song.
Releasing Collabo's doesn't mean you will be as successful with your OWN MATERIAL(See Christina Aguilera, who I like).
Christina, Ke$ha and Shakira aren't very successful right now on their own they have to do Collabo's because they're fighting to regain fame they once enjoyed. Different artists.
Why did you bother quoting me ?
