I've never listened to an album by this band before, but I've liked a few of their singles in the past. Their new single is great, though. The pop sensibilities make it so catchy and addictive. I've replayed it at least 20 times on Spotify so far.
Loving this. I think my faves right now are Breaking the Silence, Hollow, Never Again, and Ashes of Eden. It's so great to have some new music from them after almost 6 years!
I am really digging it! My least fave is either Hollow or Bury Me Alive, but I don't dislike either of them one bit. My faves are probably Angels Fall, Close to Heaven, and The Great Divide.
Breaking the Silence and Hollow are growing on me. This album is so good. Even the poppier songs like Never Again and The Great Divide are amazing. And then the lyrics in Ashes of Eden which are just beautiful.

That chorus in Hollow, sis! When I listened to the album in my car, it just jumped out at me and now that song's my favorite! The guitars and melody are just so goooood!

I love the album, but their sound is stuck in the 2000s, and I didn't think mainstream rock like this still had a strong following. Also, they're coming off this long hiatus. And their biggest week ever. I thought it was just their first #1, but the fact that it's their best sales week makes it even more impressive!
I would really like if they experimented a bit on the one, though.

I agree not only that their sound is stuck, but that they have rehashed several lines from previous songs to manufacture the lyrics for this album, but at the same time, it's been 5 years and 9 months since I've had new material, and for a few years there, I thought they were over for good, so I just can't care if this album is new or creative or fantabulous, it's just a new BB album so I will love it to death.
