The last major Apple exclusive album was only theirs for like a week. Adele would most likely have a deal for like a day, and six on the very high end.
They're in it for the long run and for attracting consumers, so having an asset like that is something Apple would definitely put a decent chunk of money into since every potential consumer drawn by these exclusives would be $10 a month for the duration of their stay.
Plus, who's to say that the rumored deals / drops aren't just exclusive
streaming rights? What would prevent that, even financially?
