The Irish Times has refused to print pictures of Taylor Swift performing at Dublin's 3Arena due to her team's restrictive contract.

The Irish Times also stated that Swift is dealing with photographers at her shows in the same way she accused Apple of treating artists.

"The photographs may be used on a one-time only basis, and by signing her contract we grant Swift perpetual, worldwide right to use the published photographs in any way she sees fit," Fitzsimons wrote.

A photographer had previously called out Swift in relation to her strict copyright rules, saying: "With all due respect to you too Taylor, you can do the right thing and change your photo policy. Photographers don't ask for your music for free. Please don't ask us to provide you with your marketing material for free," said Jason Sheldon.

Swift later described his allegations as "another distinct representation", before Sheldon said that her defence was "disingenuous".

So basically it's paparazzi getting a taste of their own medicine? Or is taking pictures of celebrities in every waking moment of their lives only ok when you're the one making the profit? Bye lol

not really, when a free lancer takes a picture of taylor and than he sells that picture to a magazine, he is winning money thanks to taylor's image and she is not getting anything back, photographers are more close to apple than taylor, they don't pay her for her image, this kind of things are regulated by law.

anyway this newspaper didn't sign the contract, which is perfect, they are free, they don't work for her, other newspapers didn't have a problem with it and reviewed the concert and took pictures, that's something called free will, end.

Taylor isn't doing anything wrong. These journalists and photographers are stupid. I'm a professional photographer and it's specifically stated in HER contract that if she hires them, they won't get any residuals (money from her using their photos). They get paid once, or allowed to use the image once (whatever the policy may be). That's it. There's nothing wrong with that policy. If they sign the contract, then they're bounded by her terms LEGALLY.

I also have acting friends that do print jobs, meaning they get paid once and whomever took their pictures, get to legally use their photos on as many billboards and public venues that they want.

It's not called greed. It's called doing business, and these journalists/photographers are disgusting for calling her out. Nobody in town would hire them again, if they spoke about their employer/client like that.

Getting paid once is actually not the same thing as getting paid not at all for 3 months, and I fail to believe that while a person might stream songs thousands of times Taylor would revel in staring at certain pictures of Her thousands of times, but keep reaching.
