Swift makes it three Adult Contemporary No. 1s in-a-row from 1989, as "Style" rises 2-1. The song follows her nine-week AC leader "Shake It Off" and her four-week No. 1 "Blank Space." The trio of toppers makes 1989 the first album to generate three AC No. 1s since Adele's 21 yielded "Rolling in the Deep" (19 weeks), "Someone Like You" (five) and "Set Fire to the Rain" (11) in 2011-12. (Not shabby company: 21 has sold 11.1 million copies in the U.S. since its release, according to Nielsen Music.)
"Style" marks Swift's sixth career AC No. 1. Dating to her first, "Love Story," in 2009, Swift boasts double the amount of No. 1s of her next-closest chart competitors: Adele and Michael Buble have each tallied three in that span.
