Do YOU think it exist in your opinion? I know some of you may say its a "guy" thing but for some reason i think the general public sees the gay community as promiscuous even though I believe straight guys cheat as much as gays. However the straight guy seem to get a pass as its seen as natural whereas the gay community is looked down upon.

I thought at first it was majority of people who "cheat" or have an open relationship were older couples as the lust for one another may have gotten stale. But from my experiences many younger gays also are guilty of doing this as well.

Do you think its possible for gays to be monogamous?
Do you think you will find someone you will be with and trust them to not seek outside the relationship?
Why do you think people don't break up first so they can do whatever they want?

Explain this to me as I'm curious

Yeah. I've been in monogamous relationships before.
It's not really that rare, step your bussy up if you can't keep a man's attention solely on you.

Of course it's possible for a gay to be monogamous.

You just have to find someone with the same ethics and mindset as you when it comes to relationships. The problem of gays not being "faithful" has little to do with them being men, and more-so to do with coming out in a community that says promiscuous sex is normal. Which that problem stems from something before our time, being a part of a community when you had to hide what you do from almost everyone, which sexualized being gay by force.

I'm fully for monogamy and I hope that with time gays will get their **** together.

I mean with the SCOTUS legalizing gay marriage all you gays went "YAAAAASSS hunTy" but in the long run most of you are NOT planning to get married anyway.

Monogamy among gays is rare, I think we still have a loooooong way to go before monogamy is an actual thing.

If I remember right, a somewhat common sociological belief is that gays historically haven't been monogamous because they didn't have access to marriage—the defining institution of monogamy. Without being able to participate in marriage, gays were left out of the norm of monogamy. Now that we have the right to marry, it's possible that we'll see more monogamous relationships... Not that there's truly a shortage; I have a feeling that they're a lot more common than the stereotypes and experiences of young 20-somethings suggests.

Of course. I'm in a mongamous relationship now; 3 years and still going strong. All you have to do is make sure you and other person have the dame goal in mind and whatnot.

You want a monogamous relationship? Let that be known. There are people put there who want one.

You don't want one? Fine. There are people out there who don't want one as well.

It all comes down to personal preference, but the biggest thing is making sure you know what you want and finding someone who matches you and has that same mindset and letting it be known that this is what you want.

A person wanting a "one partner" relationship isn't going to work out with someone who wants to have "multiple partners" in the relationship.

It's not a gay thing, it's a ho thing. People do what they want, if they want to have sex with one person they will. If they want to have sex with several people they will. I've been in Monagamous relationships for tha past several years of my life and I absolutely love sex. Never went and slept around in any of my relationships. It you care, you'll do right. Case closed.

It's more to do with lack of communication between men tbh. It's still so taboo for men to openly express their feelings and to directly say how they feel due to hyper-masculinity which leads to a lot of relationships ending prematurely. Communication & just being yourself is the key ingredient, hence why so many people say you should marry your best friend. Specifically, lack of communication kills relationships when this relationship involves two men.

There are a lot of great, genuine gay guys out there. You just have to step away from the gay scene and let relationships grow naturally, being open to being treated with respect and love, which oddly a lot of gay guys tend to avoid such loving relationships.
