Much of the song's instrumentation (bass line, drum loop, synthesizer) is yes, but there is Country instrumentation thrown in there for good measure. What is there I think is a little too much for a brand new artist trying to cross over for Mainstream radio to take. And I doubt with this being her first hit at the format, and the album already sounding rather rhythmic, she or her label wants to risk a remix that would leave Country radio wondering where she really stands.
That doesn't mean a few Hot AC/Adult Top 40 stations (the Country crossover gateway format now) won't give it some unsolicited airplay anyway, as I see some of them add Country songs spontaneously but not enough where they crack the Top 50 Currents. I agree with you though, as it reminded me somewhat of Jason Aldean's "Burning It Down" the first time I heard it.
