This means that there won't be enough money in Greek banks, and they are going to be introducing financial controls in order to stop it from completely collapsing.
Greece are also getting an impromptu ban holiday tomorrow to stop people from being able to withdraw money.
This means the stock market is going to decline far worse than before due to a complete lack of confidence, the people won't be able to spend money, no one will invest in Greece and the banks will probably collapse in the near future.
Poor Greece.

I edited it out because I'm not in the mood for a fight, but do realise a lot of people have very little sympathy with your country, and wouldn't particularly care.

Greece are gonna default, there's no way around that.
People won't be able to withdraw money, so they won't be able to spend, so the economy is going to **** up in a big way.
They'll probably start protesting, which will probably get violent.
This will badly damage the tourism industry, which they rely on a lot.
They'll be politically isolated, probably outside the Eurozone and perhaps the EU.
In short, yes.

The Troika, Angela and all of her European friends are disgusting. They don't care about us at all. They don't even care for the Greek people. Syriza did nothing wrong, the problem are the conservative/capitalistic parties in Europe. I don't think that the European Union has a future.
Good luck to everyone in Greece.

Of course they don't care about the Greek people, they are the ones who mismanaged the country and kept opposing every change needed in their country to get with the times

Essentially, The European Central Bank won't allow the Greek Central Bank to give money to smaller Greek banks, meaning that they're about to run out of money.

I guess it was boumd to happen. Syriza doesn't want to make harsh decisions - and there you have the problem that has existed with all Greek governments till 2009 or so. Democracy doesn't work if it's all about listening to the people. You have to make impopular decisions because otherwise the economy is going to be ruined, like in Greece.
Sad thing is how delusional Syriza is, yet smart. But austerity is the only way out of a debt crisis.
