Holland is one of the best countries to live in when it comes to economy, health and government, and that goes for any race

But I do agree it's a little backwards with it's racism and sexism, although never blatant (like many American racism and sexism for instance), it's more systematic

Look, I live here, I was born here, but why would I lie? The Dutch can be extremely racist. Racism is everywhere but it should not be swept under the rug just because it makes for awkward conversation. Stop the fake patriotism.

I've been to Friesland and they basically called some of my friends the N word... I had this white guy tell me he thought black people weren't "fully evolved", I kid you not... Everytime we as a nation discuss blackface white people tell us (non-whites) to "get over it or leave the country", as if they had a right to be racist and yes, zwarte piet is extremely ****ing racist. But zwarte piet isn't the real issue. The issue is our denial. Racism is very real in the Netherlands and it should be discussed, not ignored. How else are we gonna solve it? Not too mention the discrimination towards Moroccans can get pretty out of hand, especially when it involves police.

I don't hate the Netherlands, but it has problems, like most countries.


As for student loans... school should be free anyway.

Yes, you have a point that racism should not be ignored, but instead should be discussed. Yes, racism is very real in the Netherlands. I am aware of that. But at the end of the day, racism is alive everywhere. It is much more severe in places like Norway and Germany. Don't put such a negative stamp on our country - as if it is unbearable living here if you're of colour.

If anything, most Dutch people are generally very accepting and tolerant of any culture. That's ultimately what EVERYONE, including yourself, should strive for.
