They're both masterpieces but It Follows is better in the ways that appeal to me. I love a good action horror, I love good cinematography, and I love a film to have style, so obviously It Follows passes all of those with flying colors. The soundtrack elevates it to a whole other level.
The Babadook is a little creepier for obvious reasons but It Follows is such an original idea that was flawlessly executed and has tons of possible interpretations. The Babadook also obviously has lots of metaphors but I don't think it has as much replay value (although I've watched both at least four times, It Follows more).

Not you paying the Cabin in the Woods, the ACTUAL most acclaimed horror film of the decade, such dust, though.

Sis, I stan for The Cabin In The Woods but it's not the most acclaimed, check the scores.
