That's what I thought but it seemed too obvious so I thought I was wrong that song is one of my faves

So after approximately 6 listens to the whole album, I don't dare to say if the album is or isn't better than Same Trailer Different Park, because the albums are pretty different to me. Pageant Material is so soft, dreamy, ethereal, so lazy-summer-afternoon feeling. It's a great album.

Good observation. I agree! It's more laidback and wise somehow. Both brilliant albums, just a slightly different tone.

No. STDP is a masterpiece. There's not one song on PM that is better than Dandelion


Although, I still enjoy PM a lot.

So far Somebody To Love, Miserable, High Time, Late To The Party, Pageant Material, Dime Store Cowgirl, Die Fun are my favorites. I never really liked Biscuits, but it goes well with the album as a whole.

I'm sorry, but, what?! Ashley Monroe, Miranda Lambert, Brandy Clark, & Carrie Underwood all say hi. Miranda is actually even more acclaimed than Kacey, and IMO, all of these artist put out quality music with each era. LBR, success-wise, Carrie Underwood trumps all of them. I agree though, Bro country is ****. I'm happy there are artist in the country genre that still put out quality albums. The majority of them being female.

What a stunning record. It's so chill and laidback, perfect for a lazy Sunday late morning.

Dime Store Cowgirl, Late to the Party, Are You Sure.

If you think that Dandelion is better than Late To the Party, Die Fun, Miserable, Dime Store Cowgirl, etc then I feel bad for your taste and you def can't be taken seriously!

What an amazing album. Somebody to Love is simply beautiful.

I listened to Pageant Material several times now and I am still unsure how I feel about it. Although I enjoy the album, I am ultimately disappointed. 'Biscuits', 'Pageant Material' & 'Family is Family' are the only tracks that I can listen to repeatedly.

Maybe it's because STDP is one of my all time favourite albums to be released in recent history that I had almost way too high of hopes for this album. Still good, but definitely does not touch the masterpiece of her debut album.

1. Dime Store Cowgirl - this is so perfect! 5+++
2. Pageant Material - her brutal and honest lyricism
3. Somebody to Love - this just gets me , I know she's stating the obvious but it's really good!
4. Good Ol' Boys Club - perfect long ride jam
5. Family is Family - my sister's been tapping her feet when I played this!
6. Late to the Party - beautiful song too!
7. Biscuits - I love the verses, only like the chorus, still great!
8. Cup of Tea - love it too!
9. Miserable - the lyrics in this one is the main reason it's a 5 star for me!
10. Fine -

Four Stars:
11. Die Fun - I actually love the songwriting here, the melody is kinda off to me at some portions
12. High Time - like it!
13. Are You Sure - beautiful duet, nothing more

Three Stars:
14. This Town - the one I played the least, still a great song

This album grows on me more and more each day. I love it now.
