It's a cute self-defense mechanism. People under-estimate the "acting dumb" people, and they can use it to strike downE the opposition. They're smart for acting dumb.
i'm more offended by people trying to act smart. acting dumb is an act of self-deprecation, humility, it shows lack of ego. I like to make people think i'm stupid as often as possible. for example sometimes when I post I will purposely add flagrant typos that make me look like i am tragically uninformed, socially tone-deaf, or like I don't know what I'm talking about. the moment i'm taken seriously is the moment I've failed as a human bean. it's my personal mission statement to be a complete joke.
I admire them. People who act dumb are actually the smart ones - they know how to manipulate people effectively in order to get a certain response or reaction. Also it shows they don't take life too seriously and would degrade themselves for a kii. More people need to be like this tbh.

I do this sometimes. But when something irks me, the inner Einstein in me will correct them.
It bothers me when I know the person is otherwise intelligent and pretends to be dumb to get out of something. I do it too sometimes but it still bothers me. It's a work in progress.
