Even in her own genre, streaming isn't her thing.

Streaming is not big in the country genre compared to the others.

The reason they seek Mediabase #1 compared to billboard is on the country charts and history. They value mediabase over billboard.

Wasn't streaming for Blown Away pretty good though (if I remember correctly)? I think the GP just isn't here for LTG as you can see from it's low sales too.

I suspect we will get the lead single in Sept with the album out in the end of Oct beginning of Nov. I just want new music already. I can hardly wait to see what the new producer can do.

Well technically, SH had 2 producers.

But with the way she has been talking, I almost get the feeling that the new producer is actually the main producer and Mark is just producing a couple of them. She has finally acknowledged that she needs a stretch in sound. I am betting this record has a bit more of a rock feel sorta like the production in some of Eric Church's songs.

One thing, I am thankful of is she refuses to bend her morals to play by Nashville rules and does what she feels right. I don't want her to ever make a record to just please the people in Nashville just for some CMA awards. Grammy's are more important than what those people think

Good Girl didn't chart because the streaming charts happened post-GG. These peaks alone aren't bad. From CUX1, SITW reached #2 and with LTG currently sitting at a new peak of 12... well, make your own assumptions.

These are just the charts, they don't really justify actual numbers though.

Overall, the era in terms of streaming was not too bad for streaming just becoming included during the middle of the era.

Carrie goes what she feels as though she is most comfortable with. Like, with SITW, rarely do you get something like that from country artist now-a-days. And bam, crossover and critics winner.

Carrie called into radio today and she has only 2 more songs to go in and finish up and then they are done.
